Grapetree Cove is beautifully located on the beach in the Cove of Central East End. The property was originally owned by Mr. & Mrs. Lester and Phyllis McLean Grandparents of Shane Nobee Edwards, Owner/Tour Guide of ECO-Rides Cayman Ltd. Mr Lester McLean passed always in July of 2002 and Mrs Phyllis McLean passed away in June of 2013. Since then both have been awarded a National Heroes Award for their contributions to Cayman’s Heritage and Culture.
Grapetree Cove is a traditional Cayman Style house with Bahamas Shutters for protection and accent. The property is surrounded with a traditional Stone Wall and is lined with beautiful coconut and sea grape trees. There are also other fruit trees like a Breadfruit Tree, Almond Trees, as well as a small home garden that grows a variety of peppers, thyme, green onions and tomatoes for personal cooking.
Grapetree Cove will be the mid-way stopping point for all the ECO-Rides tours where guests can enjoy the cool sea breeze, relax in a variety of Hammocks and maybe even have a coconut served fresh from the tree. Grapetree Cove uniquely displays traditional Cayman character and will be a relaxing part of the tour. Grapetree Cove represents a love for traditional Cayman home and the natural environment. We look forward to giving you a wonderful tour of East End and welcoming you to a piece of our paradise.
